No postmortem can be carried out of the charred body, supposedly of Gita Dhakal, wife of DIG of the Armed Police Force Ranjan Koirala, as it lacks the vital parts, say doctors. According to Dr Harihar Osthi, a senior forensic expert at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, only trunk and pelvis of the body are available making it ‘impossible’ to carry out an autopsy. He informed that the sample of the body has been taken for the DNA test to ascertain whether the body is of Dhakal. The charred body part supposed to be that of Dhakal was recovered from Palung in Makwanpur district.
